Filter of input

It has been 3weeks I am in IMU Seremban.
Well, this is where medicine is really medicine!! It's the real deal!!
We don't have much time for books here, all we have is lots of patients!
Real patients, real disease, real emotions, real people!!

I am very excited as I have always been a 'clinical-driven-person', but wow....life is tough here.
We have been receiving much critics lately, and I feel that it is very important to have a filter of input, that is to accept words that can make me a better person, and not allowing the negative words to sink in my mind.

Mental strength is much required here I think, and staying focus is so important. And because of that I think I have impose too much stress on myself, and it's making me physically sick. I actually missed 2 TBLs (task-based-learning), and I still haven't really start studying. So thank God for 1week Hari Raya holiday so I can catch up my studies!

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."
Matthew 7:7-8

When things don't turn out the way you hoped, it may seem like the end of the world. Here are some things you can do to keep disappointment from getting you down.

• Stop. Calm Down. Give yourself some time. Things might not seem nearly so bad tomorrow.
• Get your feelings out in a way that doesn't hurt you or anybody else.
• Talk about it with your parents or a good friend.
• Ask yourself if this is really worth getting angry or upset about. (my favourite)
• Think about what you can learn from the experience and how you can do better next time.
• Don't judge yourself. Failing at something does not mean that you are a failure.

Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)

Passion conference KL!

My RM20 totally paid off! I mean Passion conference was a blast! It was awesome to see so many young people passionate for GOD.I enjoyed the praise and worship so much, Chris Tomlin is GOOD!!
The preaching of word by Louie Giglio was so refreshing, and I won't forget the very memorable story about Ashley, he read the whole Ashley's journal.
It was about this university party girl named Ashley, and how she hated christians, and met someone whom she called 'fruitcake'! This someone was nice to her and just be her friend not treating her as a screwed-up person. Then after 2weeks, things happened and she accepted Christ.Woohoo! She realised that God love those who sinned, those who made mistakes, those who screwed up as much as everyone else. After 3months, her journal was empty, because she met a car accident few days before her university graduation, and died. Instead of mourning, Ashley's mum was happy that her daughter was transformed within that 3 months.
I was so deeply touch by this real story, and when we sang Mighty To Save and Amazing Grace, I was in tears, just realized how great God's love was, and He loves everyone of us equally, no matter where you're from, who you are, and what you did, God's love is for everyone single individual. And He is always there to set us free.
Here is the lyrics for Amazing Grace - My favourite song of the night
Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That save a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see
'Twas grace that taught
My heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Saviour has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, amazing grace
The Lord has promised good to me
His work my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, who called me here below
Will be forever mine

life without exam

No body loves exam.
Neither do I.
it's 2 days after EOS Exam, it's a huge relief, really.

but within 2days I am starting to feel life is direction-less.
that speaks why people don't read after the leave school, because there is no drive.
exam is good in a way that it pushes us to learn.
right amount of stress is good, but often we lay too much stress on ourselves.
We do, yup, WE ALL DO.

Oh btw... I went to mamak with my friends after my batch farewell party.
We were teased by few of those who went clubbing, implying mamak is for kids.
They implied and laugh, they didn't say it with their own mouth (I must make this crystal clear)
Seriously I was upset, but I don't freaking care.
I don't fancy clubbing, it never excites me, I just enjoy chilling out and talk.
There is a minimum age limit for most the clubs, but that doesn't mean clubbing makes you an adult.
Oh btw... I am under-age to go to most of the clubs, you wanna call me a kid? it's fine.
Just remember when you finished pre-u, I am already a 3rd year medical student.
